Jaden Matthew Knight
Jaden was born in the kingdom of Timiro, the second son of the Royal family. He had two older siblings, the twins, Wulf and Victoria. His father, Victor, was extremely violent, and regularly beat Jaden's mother, and the children.
Jaden grew up a quiet, gentle child, much like his mother. Sweet natured and loving. Unfortunately, he also grew up somewhat mentally unstable from the constant abuse he suffered, not only at his father's hands, but from his brother Wulf as well. His sister, often protected Jaden from Victor and Wulf, mostly, unbeknownst to Jaden, at her own expense. Jaden has a disturbing ability to simply block out, and not acknowledge things he doesn't wish to see.
Jaden left home at the age of eighteen, to escape from his abusive father, and older brother, leaving behind his beloved mother, and older sister. He traveled a ways, and found himself in the kingdom of D'Image, and settled down in Waes, getting himself a room in the castle. He quickly made a few friends, and grew very close to them, starving for attention and affection.
Then it happened, that he met Geoffrey Dutton. You may scoff at the trite 'love at first sight', but for Jaden, it was truth. It turned out however that Geoff was married to a man named Darian Bastelle, and Jaden tried to turn his affections elsewhere. It was futile, however, and it soon became clear that Geoff returned Jaden's feelings. They came close to having an affair, but Geoff was faithful to the husband he loved. Distraught, Jaden sought comfort in the arms of his friend, Claudia. On a sudden impulse, he asked her to marry him, and they were wed that eve.
Unfortunately, things didn't work out for the couple, and Jaygen Deragon entered the picture. He fell in love with Jaden, and Jaden returned the feeling. However, Jaden still loved Geoff above all others. It came about that Jaden had a huge fight with Geoff, Claudia, and Jaygen, and after a drunk Geoff proclaimed that he hated Jaden, Jaden attempted to kill himself. Geoff and Jaygen saved his life, however, and Claudia and he divorced.
Not long after, and against Geoff's advice, Jaden married Jaygen, and they moved into a large manor near the castle. Things seemed to be working out for Jaden and Jaygen, but still, Geoff was always in Jaden's thoughts and heart. During this time, Jaden was brutally assaulted one night, and so hired himself a bodyguard, Michael Molitor. As time went on, Jaden and Michael spent a lot of time together, and grew very close, eventually having an affair. Jaden confessed this to Jaygen, and they worked through it, Jaygen forgiving Jaden.
Jaden and Geoff remained very close friends, visiting each other at all hours of the night, just to steal some time together. Jaden also in this time, got to know Geoff's husband Darian, and developed some confusing feelings for him. Then came the awful day, that Jaden, Jaygen and Michael were all in the tavern at the same time. Jaygen and Michael exchanged harsh words, and before Jaden knew what was happening, Jaygen had stabbed Michael. Shocked and horrified, Jaden watched Michael die in his arms, then fled the scene, unable to be near Jaygen. He went to Geoff, who took him in and cared for him, until Jaygen's trial, at which he was hung for murder.
Darian and Geoff decided to make Jaden a part of the family, as they discovered that they all had strong feelings for one another. So, Jaden and his dog, his cat, and his fox, all moved in the brick mansion, along with Darian, Geoff, Geoff's daughter, Cecily, and Darian's girlfriend, Melanie and their daughter, to form the most dysfunctional, but loving family in Waes.
Then, Jaden met and fell in love with Prince Bradley D'Image. After many tears, and much soul-searching, Jaden packed his belongings and moved into the castle with Bradley. Now, he's engaged to be married, and happily spending the Prince's money, at all the shops in Waes.
They say the course of True Love never runs smoothly. After a falling out, Bradley threw Jaden out of his life. Alone, and frightened, Jaden was taken in by an enemy of D'Image. Jaden, however, still loved his Prince, and used the opportunity to gain information that he passed on to the Prince. After enduring much pain and hardship, Jaden was reunited with Bradley, and they are together once more. But will it last?
It would seem the answer to that question is no. Once again, it would seem, Jaden and Bradley have parted ways. With the pressures and responsibilities of being coming King on his brow, Bradley bowed to his duty, and plans to wed, to produce an heir, and give the people a Queen.
Jaden hasn't seemed to take this well, having a few episodes of heavy drinking, and a veritable flood of tears. He's been spending more and more time with his friend Chance of late, causing more then a few rumors to be whispered about the pair. Will Jaden find another to replace the Prince? Has he found another perhaps in the flighty Chance? Only time, (and the next update), will tell.
Well, life goes on, whether one wishes it to, or not. Jaden seems to be getting on with his life without Bradley, filling his days with running his orphanage, friends, and poetry. He's also devoting more time to worshiping his Gods, and is considering asking Geoff to build him a temple near the farm. He has a few close friends in Chance, Lance, Moira, and Geoff, and spends as much time as posable with them, still unused to being alone. Now if he could only find a way around the lonely nights....
